Connector Flight with US Airways

Connector Flight with US Airways?
I am leaving next Tuesday from Greenville,SC to Chicago, IL. However, I have a connector flight in Charlotte,NC going and coming back. My first connnection time is 2 hours and 7 minutes. My second connection time on the way back is 1 hour and 51 minutes. I am flying with US Airways for all of my flights. My question is will I have to go to the ticket desk and check in for my connector flight? Will I have to get my bags checked again? And will I have to go through security again? Or do I get my boarding pass for the connector flight when I get my boarding pass in Greenville?? Thanks in advance!

This is a very easy answer that will hopefully provide you with some comfort. First, you will check in with US Airways only one time for each full leg of your trip. You will have the opportunity to actually check in on line on your home (or hotel) computer and print your two boarding passes/seat assignments up to 24 hour in advance of the departure time of your first flight each day. You can also set up your checked bags on line and prepay them, so you have no issues and long lines to deal with when you arrive at the airport to check in. BTW, if you don't have seat assignments yet, pull up your account on line and get them. If you have problems, call the toll free number for US Airways and ask for help When you check your bags at your originating airport, you will not see them again until you arrive at your destination. One important point: The bags, when checked, will have your two flight numbers on them. Make sure the flight numbers ARE CORRECT! You don't want your bags to end up in NYC while you are in Chicago... Enjoy your trip to my hometown!!

You will get your boarding pass for your connecting flights for the day. Once you check your bags in at Greenville, SC you will pick them up at your final destination. If you, check in online before you leave home & prepay for your bag or bags. You can even print your boarding pass for Tuesday if you would like to. Then, on your returning flight you will do the same thing. You should only have to go through security when you check-in & drop off your checked bag or bags.
