Is a 57-minute layover enough time for a domestic flight

Is a 57-minute layover enough time for a domestic flight?
I'm arriving at Charlotte International Airport, and have to connect to a flight bound for Philly during a 57-minute connection time. I won't have to mess with baggage because both flights are with the same airline. Will I have to go through security again though? What exactly is the procedure for making a connection? Do you just hop out of one gate and go to the next? Or do you have to check in somewhere?

You won't have to go through security again. All you have to do is go from the gate you get out of and go to the new gate.

One hour layover is an typical average, for me. You can usually wander from one gate to another. You are inside the airport and past security, so you do not need to go through security, again. When you arrive, check the departure board and go to your gate. Once you are at the departure gate, you can decide if you have time to get a snack, buy a drink, or do some shopping. You should have a boarding pass from your first check in, so you can board when your row or number is called.

You should already be up at the gates when you get off the first plane. Most airports only have security going into the gate area, but you'll already be there. Try to find out exactly where your next gate is though, just because some airports are very large and may take a while just to get from one side to the other! But with an hour to kill you should be fine.

Biggest hazard is that your checked baggage may not make such a tight connection. This happens when the TSA decides they have to inspect all the bags AGAIN before sending them to a connecting flight! I never connect without at least two hours wait time when travelling with checked baggage.

More than enough time!! I've had 29 minutes between flights and made it. Two tips: 1. Try to sit in a front rwo on your first flight so you will get off the plane sooner. 2. Have your boarding pass for the 2nd flight with you. GOOD LUCK!
