Booking a flight?
I'm booking a flight on JetBlue (San Diego to Charlotte, North Carolina) and it says we have to connect in new york. Does that mean that we have to switch planes? or do we just stay on the same plane?

yep, you're gonna switch planes. after your layover. the time between flights will tell you how long you will have in the aiport. hopefully not more than a couple of hours...

some you do switch, some you don't. if you switch, they'll automatically move your luggage to the other plane, you won't have to worry about it. it should give you flight numbers. if they are different, then you switch.

Actually, it could be either way, depending on the aircraft. Usually, connecting means you go to another gate, and another plane, that's bound for your final destination. Ask them to check your bags through to your final destination, CLT. Also, there is a minimum timeframe for the carrier to allow between when your inbound flight gets to New York, and when you depart for Charlotte. Bon voyage!
