Is it a good idea to take Dramamine on a flight from Providence,RI to Charlotte,NC and then from Charlotte,NC?
to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic? I have a severe fear of flying..will this help me go to sleep during takeoff?

Ask your doctor / nurse practitioner / pharmacist / Mum. It depends on how you react to the drug. My partner she was knocked out by the stuff for almost 24 hrs, now she only uses Gravol (not gravel) because it reacts better with her. If you react badly like her you don't want to be taking it for departure and you want to be awake for arrivals. If you must take something only do it during the long legs of your flights.

Have you tried it for how it will affect you? Also if you are looking to be sedated during the trip are you travelling with someone you trust? Bad things happen to people who are fully alert just naive'. I have been to Punta Cana last year in July. (Heck of a place to celebrate the Fourth of July. You might consider looking deep into yourself and figure out why flying is crippling you. Then attack it head on. There is no need to allow something to cause you grief like this... You are strong. Trust in your faith and meet the challenge head on so you can enjoy the earth in many destinations without being knocked out.!!!

dramamine is for motion sickness it wont help you sleep.so if you have motion sickness its a good idea.
