We booked flight tickets to los vegas on may 22nd + swine flue?
Hiall, We live in Charlotte, I am excited that we are going to Vegas on may 22nd but at the same time I am afraid ofthe swine flue. Do you think we need to cancel tickets, to avoid any chance of swine flue. THanks for all your time and effort...

Even with trip insurance, your money won't be refundable. Your chances of getting swine flu are probably greater going grocery shopping at your local store. Think of who may have had used the cart before you. Someone picking up their kid from daycare, putting him in the seat and him holding the bar on the cart. After he has been in a room with 20 other kids all day.

I don't think the Swine flu is prominent in any certain part of the country. The best thing to do is carry on with your normal life, but make sure you pay extra attention to hand washing, coughing and sneezing into your sleeve, etc. You basically have the same chance of getting it or not getting it anywhere you go, so you may as well enjoy yourself in Vegas. Why because ONE toddler died from this? This is media hype. Even if you do catch it, its not worse then the typical flu to most healthy adults. And I dont even think there is one reported case in Vegas anyway. Ivgeno-- I could not agree more. Joe Biden did a very foolish thing. He is just lucky that most people did not listen to him lol. Telling people not to travel in the middle of recession.. what a joke.

I would not worry about it. I believe the media is making too big of deal. If you are healthy and want to go then go and have fun. Good Luck!!!

You would be silly to cancel. The swine flu is just something for the news media to get excited about. More people die each year from the regular strain of flu, I think they said 33,000 Americans each year. Think about it. You could get the flu anywhere. That idiot of a vice president joe biden is just that, an idiot. I won't even put his name in capital letters. Thank goodness his boss sat him down and read him the riot act. OMG. Another Spiro Agnew. LOL Besides the flu strain love colder weather and not hot like it is here. You will be less likely to catch it here than up north.
