ok i have a flight from dublin to charlotte douglas with less than an hour layover till my flight to chicago, will i have 2 clear customs, re-check my bags, go through security again etc and will i b able 2 make it to my connecting flight

I plan on flying from Boston to Charlotte on December 26th until January 26th and I'm having trouble determining which would be the most cost efficient airline for the flights. Now I would love to leave out of Providence, RI but that ups the price drastically and I would also love a non-stop flight but that again has the same result. Can anyone tell me the best place to get cheap plane tickets for two? I would greatly appreciate any help.

I make this flight at least once a year, and Jet Blue definitely has the cheapest flight. However, their cancellation rate is high, I've run into that a few times. U.S. Air is by far the biggest airline in Charlotte, so you'll have the best options with them if you want to leave at a specific time or something. If you want to compare flight prices, by the way, you can use a travel site like Expedia or Travelocity or Hotwire or whatever, and they'll show you all the available flights and the cheapest ones you can get. Im flying to austin from florida using US Airlines Express. The flight goes to Charlotte, North Carolina and stops, then i have to switch to another plane that departs from North Carolina to Austin one hour later... Do I have to pay my baggage fees again when i switch planes? or does the fee i pay at first cover the whole trip?

It got delayed. I have two lay overs getting to the west coast. Are the airline willing to put me on another flight, hopefully a direct flight. What are my chances.

If the delays are the direct fault of the airline and you cannot be accommodated the same day, the airline will get you a hotel, give you food vouchers and get you on your way the next day. If you are traveling with point to point ticketing, regardless of whether or not it's the same airline. You will be out of luck and must arrange your next flight and pay any penalties that may apply. You need to go to AeroMexico and US Airways websites and research on baggage fees. My initial guess is that AeroMexico may charge you a baggage fee considering it is a domestic flight for them. I don't believe US Airways will charge a baggage fee since it is clearly an international flight. If you read everything on Expedia, you would have read that the airlines may charge you additional fees for baggage.

We are going on a trip, and I'd like to know whether or not to expect entertainment on the back of the seats (like they do in overseas flights and stuff) on a flight from Charlotte to Vegas. It happened over the weekend. They say noone was hurt and the plane wasn't affected and landed fine. So what the heck happened to the bullet? Doesn't anyone get curious about these things? I just flew this weekend and I thought it was pretty scary this could happen. Please don't reply just to tell me you think this is a strange question or give a stupid answer. Well it depends on what type of gun it was. If its a low caliber bullet (small) then it can't go through a wall. So because the guy was able to sneak it on the plane I am guessing it was a gun with a bullet of that size. So it probably hit a rigid surface and ended up "staying" on the plane. But I wonder these things too...I have a flight in less than 24 hours, so hopefully something like this doesn't happen tomorrow!

So because the guy was able to sneak it on the plane I am guessing it was a gun with a bullet of that size. So it probably hit a rigid surface and ended up "staying" on the plane. But I wonder these things too...I have a flight in less than 24 hours, so hopefully something like this doesn't happen tomorrow!

The bullet went out the front side of the a/c. They showed the picture of it from the outside of the a/c. Was a small hole... I'm sure it's laying in some corn field in the midwest..))

I'm flying to Salt Lake City Friday and was wondering about flight times since I am changing time zones. I've never crossed over time zones before. My Departing Flight leaves at 7:45 from Charlotte NC and arrives in Salt Lake City at 10:22. Is this a 3 1/2 flight or do I have to work in time change? Also my returning flight departs Salt Lake City at 4:56 and arrives in Charlotte at 10:52. Thats six hours!!! Is that the actually flight time or does that include time change. I just want to know how long I will be up in the air. I don't like to fly and like to be prepared! Thanks for your help!

I am looking at booking a flight that would go from Charlotte, NC to Rome with a stop in Atlanta, GA. It is significantly cheaper to book it this way than to get a direct flight from Atlanta. However, I am just as close to the Atlanta airport as I am to the Charlotte airport. Is it feasible to skip my first flight in Charlotte and go to make the connection in Atlanta, or will I be flagged as a no-show and my flight in Atlanta forfeited?

Can I book a non direct flight that has a connect stop to my peferred desination?
I want to book a flight from philly to detroit, the cost is $200 dollars but there are flights that go from philly to charlotte that stop in detroit for $130. Could i book the flight instead and just not take the flights to charlotte? would they let me get on in detroit during my return flight even though i wasn't on the flight that went from charlotte to detroit?

I am on a flight Thursday to Charlotte NC. I need to know what I can take such as my Insulin
I am on a flight Thursday to Charlotte NC. I need to know what I can take such as my Insulin.?
What I cannot take on my flight. Can it be put in my shipped luggage such as my insulin needles? What other things are not allowed to be carried on? Can I take a snack in case I need it because of low sugar count? Is makeup not allowed?

Why has the direct flight from Charlotte to the Turks and Caicos beome so darned expensive!?
We have been three previous times. Have already rented a large house and are taking a group of 12 down in Feb of 08. Never paid more than about 600 round trip. Price now is 1400. Of course "frequent flier miles blacked out" Any help appreciated

US Airways just cancelled my Charlotte-Seattle flight, where can I complain
US Airways just cancelled my Charlotte-Seattle flight, where can I complain?
I'm in Charlotte and I'm supposed to be in the Seattle tonight and these dorks just cancelled my flight. I'm never fliying US Airways again. Where can I go to complain?

That said, you can still file electronic complaints online (on the USAirways website) and also by calling the customer service number which you can also find on their website.

What should I be paying for a flight from Charlotte, NC to France?
I can't find much cheaper than 1100. Is this reasonable? If not, how do I get a better deal. I have to travel on a certain date, so its not flexible.

I want to fly from Charlotte, North Carolina to Detroit, Michigan this July and I was wondering what a good price for a round trip ticket would be, since I've never bought an airline ticket. Like, how do you get the lowest possible price? Are there any secrets?

I've booked that same flight a few times. As far as price?? It's been about a year, but I'm thinking you're going to be in the $300 range for roundtrip. I have found that it is cheaper sometimes to fly out of Greensboro, or Raleigh/Durham, but Raleigh is a little too far to drive. First go to Yahoo Travel and find the better deals and take note of them: Then Go directly to the airlines website: i.e. www.southwest.com or www.nwa.com so that you can avoid paying the extra fees that the agencies tack on. oh and if your final destination is North of Detroit (oakland or macomb counties) then you might consider flying into Flint, MI airport!! Good Luck!

Who do you contact to book flight at Charlotte County Airport on Skybus?
I would like to fly out of the Charlotte County Airport in Punta Gorda, Fla to fly to San Antonio, TX. I can't find who to call or email. I keep getting dircted to these "cheap flight" companies that deal with large commercial carriers.

If I buy a plane ticket with a layover in Charlotte can I just board the flight in Charlotte?
A US Airways direct flight that departs from Charlotte costs $850. However, if I buy a ticket departing Raleigh earlier in the day and layover in Charlotte and take the exact same flight as previously mentioned out of Charlotte it costs $550. Can I not just buy the ticket departing from Raleigh, but then board in Charlotte. I live much closer to Charlotte.

No, the moment you do you don't board the flight in Raleigh, the entire trip is cancelled. That is the law.

The short answer is "No." The slightly longer answer is that as soon as your originating flight departs (without you,) the rest of your reservation will be canceled, and you will get nothing for your $550.

As soon as you fail to board your original flight at RDU, your entire reservation (including the return) is automatically cancelled. This is based on airline policies, and not due to federal law, as is claimed incorrectly by AJ -- the vast majority of airlines prohibit this practice (known as hidden-city ticketing) by their own policies and contracts.
