Could this be a dry run for another terror attack

Could this be a dry run for another terror attack?
Bottle Prompts W.Va. Terminal Evacuation Aug 17 3:35 PM US/Eastern Email this story CEREDO, W.Va. A West Virginia airport terminal was evacuated Thursday after a female passenger's water bottle twice tested positive for explosives, a Transportation Security Administration spokeswoman said. "The bomb squad is on site and the woman is being interviewed by the FBI," Amy von Walter said. Security checkpoint screeners got a positive test on a machine that uses swabs to find traces of explosives, von Walter said. A bomb- sniffing dog also reacted to the water bottle. A screener noticed the bottle in a woman's carryon bag as she prepared to board a flight to Charlotte, N.C., said Tri-State Airport authority President Jim Booton. Commercial airline service was temporarily suspended, and about 100 passengers and airport employees were ordered to leave the terminal, Booton said. At least one flight was diverted to Charleston's Yeager Airport, about 60 miles away. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/5261456.stm The bad thing is, we have to right 100% of the time - while the enemy has to be right only once, to accomplish their aims

Sounds like a wet run to me.

I read that it was not a bomb and they don't yet know why the dogs reacted . Very strange .
3 :
I can see it coming. Can't you?

I would not pre judge her until further evidence is given

I think that it would have already happened if they were able to get past airport security. Unfortunately they will keep trying until they succeed.
6 :
Well its not clear what the explosive was!

We should start taking bets as to when...not if!

I think the UK bomb plot and the war in the Middle East are just diversions to keep our eyes focused away from the real plot.I think with the anniversary of 9-11 there is bound to be some thing sinister to happen.

Theywere just testing the waters

Yes, I believe so! They are going to try all the time. We are going to catch them 99 times out of a 100. But on the 100th time they'll succeed. They are very dedicated and they can't wait till they'll meet the 72 virgins in heaven. The only thing they don't know is that the virgins that are waiting for them are 72 angry old nuns. I'm going on a plain next Saturday. Lets hope its my Lucky day!

some people dont want drive also a lot of frequenetly fliers can earn points for flying they cant do that driving they might have bussines in the airport.
2 :
100 miles or 160 km is normally the "limit" where air travel begins to be useful. It makes no sense to have a flight that is 50 miles but somewhere near and above 100 miles, it does. Remember it will take you about 2 hours to drive 100 miles (depending on roads and traffic). A flight is only about 30 minutes.
3 :
just to add from other responses, that there also has to be a reasonable demand, and could well be in smaller aircraft.
4 :
People are sometimes in a rush, business-wise, emergencies, etc. BOS-JFK/EWR, 3.5 hours apart with driving, 30-40 minutes by flying. If your relative/sibling/parent suddenly needs help or a business opportunity that requires you to be in New York as soon as possible, what do you do? Take a flight. You can drive your way down to Brazil, why not do that then? Nobody would want to bother with paying car insurance where they aren't insured in. Cars can break down on highways more than planes breaking down in airports, delaying you more time, you may need to get more rest-stops. Or some people are so dog gone tired they rather fly. Be considerate and think of these reasons, not everything is so simple and cheap as driving.
5 :
Some people would rather fly because it gets you there quicker. Also sometimes airline flights between 2 cities are really cheap so it is almost worth it to pay for the plane ticket and earn frequent flier miles versus driving, paying for gas and accumulating miles on your car.
6 :
It is possible. Many don't want to drive or just wanna loose traffic and reach a lot faster.

FSX- How to create a 2nd Flight Planner after you already completed your 1st one

FSX- How to create a 2nd Flight Planner after you already completed your 1st one.?
So i just completed my IFR flight plan and journey from Dallas to Miami. I did the takeoff, cruise, descent, approach, landed, and taxi to the gate given to me by ATC. Now i want to take off from Miami and maybe go to Charlotte. How do i create a new flight plan and start off at the exact position i am at. I don't want to start at a new gate or on an active runway. I want to use the exist same aircraft in the same exact spot.

Follow these simple instruction 1. Hit "Alt" on your keyboard while in your parked at the gate (A menu should pop up at the top). 2. Then click flights at the top right hand corner of your screen 3. Then you want to click "Flight planner" and make your flight like you normally would hit "ok" 4. It will ask you "Do you want to move your aircraft to the departure airport and hit NO. Then you'll be back to your aircraft 5. Then when you open your ATC menu it should said *Clearance. Get your clearance and there you go! (How about 10 points best answer) *The airport your in or the center you are in.
