Where do you think the bullet went in the gun that went off in the US Airways flight from Denver to Charlotte?
It happened over the weekend. They say noone was hurt and the plane wasn't affected and landed fine. So what the heck happened to the bullet? Doesn't anyone get curious about these things? I just flew this weekend and I thought it was pretty scary this could happen. Please don't reply just to tell me you think this is a strange question or give a stupid answer. If you don't care don't answer!

Well it depends on what type of gun it was. If its a low caliber bullet (small) then it can't go through a wall. So because the guy was able to sneak it on the plane I am guessing it was a gun with a bullet of that size. So it probably hit a rigid surface and ended up "staying" on the plane. But I wonder these things too...I have a flight in less than 24 hours, so hopefully something like this doesn't happen tomorrow!

The bullet went out the front side of the a/c. They showed the picture of it from the outside of the a/c. Was a small hole... I'm sure it's laying in some corn field in the midwest..))

How long is a flight from Charlotte NC, (CLT) to Salt Lake City, UT (SLC)?
I'm flying to Salt Lake City Friday and was wondering about flight times since I am changing time zones. I've never crossed over time zones before. My Departing Flight leaves at 7:45 from Charlotte NC and arrives in Salt Lake City at 10:22. Is this a 3 1/2 flight or do I have to work in time change? Also my returning flight departs Salt Lake City at 4:56 and arrives in Charlotte at 10:52. Thats six hours!!! Is that the actually flight time or does that include time change. I just want to know how long I will be up in the air. I don't like to fly and like to be prepared! Thanks for your help!

The times are always specific to the location. In other words, you have to take into consideration time zones.

You have to work in the time change. If you get a non-stop flight it is aprox 4 hours 35 mins from gate to gate.

Whats the best way to book this flight?
I want to book a flight from Charlotte NC to Myrtle Beach SC, but I want to leave in the am and fly back later in the day on the same day. I am only going to look at a rental property I am thinking of renting. Whats the best way to book this and the cheapest?

kayak i do it all the time from NC to SC i live in Raleigh NC and have in laws in Georgetown SC. But you go ok Kayak.com and a list of prices show up from each different site expedia,hotwire ETC. and you choose the best price. You can also go on Bing.com that website monitors and tells you if the flight prices will go down or not. The flights are relatively cheap anyway but you can always save extra

You are probably going to have to change planes in Dallas.

Typically, the same flight number being used for a flight with multiple stops means that the same plane will be used for both legs of the journey. Due to aircraft substitutions, delays, or other issues in Dallas, though, there may be a need for them to switch you to different aircraft (even though the flight numbers are the same). There really isn't going to be a way to tell whether you will be on the same plane or not until the day of the flight, because there's no way to tell whether they will need to switch planes for whatever reason until that day.

Just by looking at your itinerary, I would say you should not have to switch planes; the flight originates in CLT and makes a stop at DFW before continuing onto to LAX. But just as the previous person said, sometimes airlines make substitutions.
