you will definitely need two different boarding passes. I am not sure about the luggage because you are changing airlines, if it were the same one they would put it on the next plane for you.

Are you sure you're flying on KLM from Charlotte to London? The only airline that operates that route is US Airways. KLM does not serve Charlotte, but if they did, it would be a flight to Amsterdam. If you're flying nonstop from Charlotte to London, you will remain with US Airways, in which case you will not need to worry about your checked baggage as it will be checked all the way through to London. And you will need two different boarding passes because you will be on two separate flights, but both of those boarding passes will be issued to you in San Francisco when you check in. So you won't need to worry about that either.

The baggage SHOULD be transferred to your London flight in Charlotte. If the flight number changes between the time you book and the time you travel (that happened to me once), there's a chance that it won't make the connection.

Well...you obviously will need two separate boarding passes. Basically, when you are at the check-in desk of US Airways at San Francisco, you must ask them to 'through check-in' your baggage. What this will do is that, the airline will take your baggage at Charlotte and transfer it to your KLM flight. This will mean that you don't have to go all the way to the baggage belt at Charlotte. You will have to collect your baggage directly at London. Also, make sure that you take both the boarding passes at San Francisco itself..its all given to you. Im not very sure, but I think you will have to go through immigration or passport controlat Charlotte and not at San Francisco. This is because you will be leaving the country only after Charlotte. If its passport control, the your gate will be positioned is such a way that you have to go through passport control before reaching the gate. Don't worry, im 16 and travel long distance every year. Its cakewalk!!

YES, your bags will be checked all the way through. YES, you will have two boarding passes. It's that simple.

What's the minimum layover time in Houston IAH for International to Domestic flights

What's the minimum layover time in Houston IAH for International to Domestic flights?
I'm flying from Los Cabo, Mexico and I have a 2-hr layover in Houston's IAH. Is 2 hours enough to clear customs and make my connecting flight to Charlotte, NC? What is the min. layover time in IAH for an International to Domestic transfer? FYI, I'm flying Continental the whole way.
