Most likely not on those types of aircraft. If you were flying overseas, probably they would. Check this site out, it will tell you alot about your plane. www.seatguru.com
2 :
yes i know a guy who works there

I flew U.S., Airways , Manchester,England to Chicago, then on to San Francisco,( return of course). I found them to be an absolutely superb airline in every way but the aircraft in which I flew did not have seat mounted t.v., sets. They did of course have perfectly good ceiling mounted sets. Bon Voyage.

i flew us airways this past february vacation from maine conencting through charlotte and reaching the destination of phoenix arizona to visit my aunt and uncle that live in phoenix. yup they have these televisions that pop out that give instructions on safety. they play a movie on it and when the movie is done they play like 4 shows after that. it was the same way coming back to maine connecting through philadelphia. they didn't play movies fro manchester nh to charlotte but they did charlotte to phoenix. they played movies from phoenix to philadelphia but not philadelphia to manchester. it depends on how long your flight is. if the flight isn't that long they won't normally play a movie and shows but if your on a long flight they will.

Booking a flight

Booking a flight?
I'm booking a flight on JetBlue (San Diego to Charlotte, North Carolina) and it says we have to connect in new york. Does that mean that we have to switch planes? or do we just stay on the same plane?

yep, you're gonna switch planes. after your layover. the time between flights will tell you how long you will have in the aiport. hopefully not more than a couple of hours...
2 :
some you do switch, some you don't. if you switch, they'll automatically move your luggage to the other plane, you won't have to worry about it. it should give you flight numbers. if they are different, then you switch.
3 :
Actually, it could be either way, depending on the aircraft. Usually, connecting means you go to another gate, and another plane, that's bound for your final destination. Ask them to check your bags through to your final destination, CLT. Also, there is a minimum timeframe for the carrier to allow between when your inbound flight gets to New York, and when you depart for Charlotte. Bon voyage!

Will the airline transfer my bags or will I have to claim and re-check

Will the airline transfer my bags or will I have to claim and re-check?
I'm flying from Charlotte, NC to my connecting flight in Houston. From Houston I will be flying to Mexico. I need to know if I need to claim my bags in Houston or will the airline transfer them straight from Charlotte to Guadalajara? Both flights are through Continental if that matters. I just need to know if I have enough time to make my connecting flight. I have an hour between planes. Ok, I'm a little new to this so let me just ask one more thing. When I flied into the U.S. from Mexico I flied first to Atlanta and then to Charlotte and they didn't transfer my bags, I had to claim them in Atlanta and re-check. Is this because it was an international flight?

they'll transfer them
2 :
the airline will do that for you.
3 :
Because its a connecting flight the airline will transfer them
4 :
they will transfer
5 :
They will transfer your bags through to Mexico for you. The reason you had to claim your bags when you entered the US was because US Customs and Immigration requires you to clear customs at your first point of entry into the United States. You'll also have to claim and recheck you bags if you are connecting through the US if and when you return.
6 :
no you don't have to do anything the airline do
7 :
When going out of the US, you do not have to claim your bags at the connecting flight. You will just have to claim then at your destination (Mexico). However when coming into the US, you do have to claim your bags at Atlanta because it is your first stop inside the US, you have go through immigration and then take your bags through security and then recheck them and pick them up at your destination (charlotte) I just arrived from Mexico and had to recheck my bags in Atlanta and take them through security. When i arrived in Louisville, I only picked up my bags and did not have to go back through security. Since Atlanta is your first stop in the US, they must check your bags and make sure you are bringing in anything you shouldn't.

take continental or any company that provides faster aircraft, video chatting is pretty good too
2 :
There is a small airport in Wilmington, NC---approx. 50 miles south of Lejeune. The town of Jacksonville, where Lejeune is at, has a dinky sized airport as well. Shoot for those two. If Jet Blue cannot get you where you need to go, then I suggest you find another Airliner. Another option is to go Greyhound. 'it's slow, but it will get you to Jacksonville. Good luck.
3 :
check with the local Corp office in your area...they may be able to steer you toward some ideas. also, take a train ride...relaxing, refreshing, and less expensive. one thing to make sure....check with your fiancé before just up and taking off to see him. he may not be able to even get time...so check his schedule first...no pop-up surprise visits.

The closest airport is Jacksonville, NC. You'll have to check which air carriers fly in to Jacksonville. From the airport you can take either a hotel shuttle, or pay for a taxi... or have him come out and pick you up.

us airways and delta are the only airlines that i know of that fly right into jacksonville. us air is usually the cheapest, but alot of times their flighs get delayed! once you get to the jacksonille airport, they have a bus that will take u to the base for just a few dollars.. alot cheaper than a cab!
