us airways connecting flight checking luggage

us airways connecting flight checking luggage?
I am just wondering- if one travels on US Airways connecting flight from La Guardia NYC to Nashville- is it necessary to check his luggage again at Charlotte, as his next flight is operated by US AIRWAYS EXPRESS-REPUBLIC AIRLINES (US3115)? Thanks for your help and answers!! Spasa

There is no need to recheck anything, your luggage will be checked all the way to Nashville.

Do you think these flights will be on the same Concourse at Charlotte, NC Airport

Do you think these flights will be on the same Concourse at Charlotte, NC Airport?
Flying into CLT on a US Air Canadair Regional Jet and leaving to ALB on a US Air Canadair Jet 900. Since they are both smaller planes do you think they will be on the same concourse?

If both flights are U.S. Airways Express, then you will probably be arriving and departing at Concourse E (which is where the majority of US Airways Express flights operate). But if you have to change concourses, here is a brief, but handy guide: http://www.ehow.com/how_2237931_around-charlotte-douglas-international-airport.html

Drive or fly to Charlotte, NC. ? Which would be more cost effective, easier and efficient

Drive or fly to Charlotte, NC. ? Which would be more cost effective, easier and efficient?
My Dad wants to take a trip to Rawlings, NC to attend a good friends wedding and also visit one of my good friends that lives in Charlotte. Looking at price of gas and a flight ticket which would be more cost effective and easier on us. Dates would be b/t Oct 11th-15th/16th.

You didn't tell us where you are coming from or how many are in your party--we can't answer without that info. If home is DC, Baltimore, anywhere in N or S Carolina, Virginia or Georgia, I'd say drive, especially if there will be more than the two of you travelling.

There are some great deals right now, flying, and Charlotte is a good sized airport which should be part of those deals. Problem sometimes is that you need to fly mid-week and / or stay over a weekend to qualify. Daughter just got a $59, one way, but had to pay $159, return. With gasoline prices so high, I'd check out the airlines.
